THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGIN’—ACEEE’S NEW PLACE AND NEW FACES
A new era is beginning at ACEEE! After nearly 25 years at 1001 Connecticut Avenue N.W. in D.C., ACEEE will move to a new location at the end of May 2008. Our new office will be located in the historic Press Building at 529 14th Street, N.W., Suite 600, not many blocks from our current location. Our telephone and postal address will change, but e-mail addresses will remain the same. We’ll send out our new coordinates in mid-May.
Several new faces, and lots of familiar ones with new titles, will make the transition to the new office. Neal Elliott has been promoted to Associate Director for Research where he will coordinate across the different research programs while continuing to direct the industry and agriculture programs. Glee Murray has been promoted to Associate Director for Outreach where she will lead our communication activities, as well as our conference, development, and publications programs. Additional promotions include: Skip Laitner to Director of Economic Analysis; Rebecca Lunetta to Director of Conferences; Karen Ehrhardt-Martinez to Research Associate for Behavior and Social Sciences; Maggie Eldridge to Research Associate for State Studies; and Lori Nachman to Conferences Coordinator.
We have welcomed several new staff in the past few months. They are: Shruti Vaidyanathan, Research Assistant for the Transportation Program; Max Neubauer, Research Assistant for the Energy Policy Program; Anna Chittum, Research Associate in the Industry Program; and Daniel Trombley, Engineering Associate in the Industry Program.
We have also recently bid fond good-byes to a few staff. Former Deputy Director Bill Prindle accepted a job at ICF International. Jim Kliesch, formerly Research Associate for the Transportation Program, moved on to the Union of Concerned Scientists. Anna Shipley, who was Research Associate for the Industry, began a new job at Sentech, Inc.
Stay tuned for more news about our imminent move and additional new hires!
