ANNUAL RANKING OF GREEN VEHICLES SHOWS PROGRESS DESPITE TOUGH TIMES
With the auto industry in turmoil and energy prices in flux, ACEEE named the 2009 “greenest” and “meanest” vehicles, along with environmental scorings of all model year 2009 cars and passenger trucks in ACEEE's Green Book® Online released February 3. This announcement marks the twelfth year ACEEE has published its widely-respected rankings. The vehicle scores are part of ACEEE’s Green Book® Online, ACEEE’s environmental guide to cars and trucks, available at greenercars.org.
Check out the ever-popular lists of the “Greenest,” “Meanest,” and “Greener Choices.” Subscribers to ACEEE’s Green Book® Online interactive database can access summary Green Scores of the 1,400+ configurations of all model year 2009 vehicles, along with each configuration’s fuel economy, health-related pollution impacts, global warming emissions, and estimated fuel expenses.
