Jill Ferguson conducts research on rural energy efficiency programs in the residential, commercial, and manufacturing sector for the rural initiative and the Industry Program. She joined ACEEE as a Truman Fellow in 2017.

Prior to joining ACEEE, Jill worked at the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy as a science and technology policy fellow, and most recently as a visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 

Jill earned a bachelor of science in material science engineering from the University of Virginia.
