We currently have an opportuniity available in the Berlin, CT area for an Assistant/Associate Energy Engineer.

Depending on your level of experience your responibilities would involve the following:


For the DE & EE Band: Performs implementation activities including, program analysis and monitoring of results for electric and natural gas conservation and load management (C&LM) programs and projects. Primarily implements projects that require engineering analysis or are complex and require significant technical capability. Determines the performance and energy savings for energy system modifications and improvements for C&LM programs and projects. Participates in the reporting, tracking, retrieval and analysis of electric and natural gas C&LM projects. Supports the selection and management of contractor services for program implementation. Gathers supporting material and data for regulatory requests, marketing collateral, and program evaluations.

For the FE Band:In addition to the above: Responsible for reporting, tracking, retrieval and analysis of C&LM performance and budget data for CL&P and the gas companies. Selects and manages contractor services for program implementation and provides quality assurance review of contractor analysis and vendor proposals. Interfaces with United Illuminating, natural gas distribution company representatives, and external stakeholders such as the ISO-NE, Department of Public Utility Control, Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnership, Institute for Sustainable Energy, Connecticut Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority, Connecticut Municipal Electric Energy Cooperative, and the Energy Efficiency Board.

REQUIREMENTS: All levels require a related degree in Engineering. A Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or accredited Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Professional is preferred.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE: Zero to 2 years related work experience is required for the DE Band; 2 to 4 years of related work experience is required for the EE Band; and 5 to 7 years related work experience is required for the FE Band.
