Since 1982, the Summer Study on Energy Efficiency in Buildings
has brought together a diverse group of professionals from around
the world to discuss the technological basis for and practical implementation
of improving energy use in buildings. The 2002 conference, Teaming
for Efficiency, aims to highlight public/private partnerships,
regional collaborations, inter-regional efforts, and other collaborative
efforts in addition to addressing the broad array of subjects listed
below:
- energy technologies and information technologies
- market transformation
- design and performance of buildings
- program design, implementation and evaluation
- human and social dimensions of energy use
- deregulation of the utility industry and utility system reliability
- role of energy service companies
- energy and environmental policies
in 2002:
The conference promotes the interaction among the participants
through a balance of structured and unstructured sessions. Refereed
papers are presented in the mornings, informal and display sessions
in the afternoons, and plenary sessions in the evening.
