The California Investor-Owned Utilities, the California Energy Commission, and ACEEE are pleased to announce the inaugural Emerging Technologies in Energy Efficiency Summit. The Summit will bring together a diverse audience of policy makers, program planners and implementers, researchers, technology developers, financiers, manufacturers and end users to discuss the latest innovations in energy-efficient technologies and practices.

The Summit will highlight key policy considerations at the state and national level, explore the role of various players in advancing markets for emerging technologies, and investigate channels for financing technology development and commercialization. A number of promising technologies and practices will also be introduced.

Sessions will include:

  • An opening keynote address and plenary featuring prominent figures from California and other regions discussing the policy implications of developing and promoting emerging technologies and practices. Speakers will offer a high-level view of the role of emerging technologies and practices in addressing key energy-related issues in their states and regions, the role of private and public sector players, and the impact of their efforts to date.

  • Additional plenary sessions attracting leading thinkers in the emerging technology field. These sessions will showcase success stories from emerging technology efforts, explore the important role that emerging technology programs play in supporting vibrant and effective energy efficiency and demand response programs, and present perspectives from other key players including federal agencies, manufacturers, and other trade allies.

  • Smaller working sessions allowing participants and presenters to discuss a number of important and timely topics in greater depth. Two program tracks will cover specific building technologies and practices through eight individual sessions. A track on policy and process concerns will include sessions on resource planning, public-sector funding, and private financing of technology development. The fourth track will address tactics and strategies for promoting emerging technologies in the marketplace.

This is the one conference on emerging technologies that you don't want to miss!
So mark your calendars and register now as space is limited.
