ACEEE 2008 Summer Study Informal Sessions

RESNET is actively involved in a number of international efforts to harmonize the rating of building performance. RESNET Board President Philip Fairey has been appointed by ANSI to be the U.S. representative of the International Standards Organization (ISO) Standard 163 Working Group that will developing the international standard on the rating of building energy performance. RESNET Executive Director Steve Baden has been appointed by the International Energy Agency to serve on the is serving on the Organization for Economic Development's (OECD) Global Sustainable Network Council. In addition Steve Baden and Philip Fairey have been involved in an active dialogue with the European Community’s Concerted Action Group that is involved in developing standards for the European Union’s Energy Performance in Building Directives. RESNET has formed an advisory group to review the initiatives and provide input on the issues that will effect the U.S. building performance industry.
