Michigan Climate Change Policies

In 2007, Governor Jennifer Granholm created the Climate Action Council, which released a Climate Action Plan in March of 2009.  In July 2009, Gov. Granholm set a greenhouse gas emissions target for the state that would reduce to 20% below 2005 levels by 2025 and 80% below 2005 levels by 2050.
