Energy Disclosure Requirement
Texas statutes require public information programs to inform homeowners, sellers, buyers, and others about home energy ratings. Additionally, the state must provide training for individuals performing home energy ratings and providers of home energy ratings, who must release a registry of completed ratings for newly constructed residences and residential improvement projects for the purpose of computing energy savings and emissions reduction benefits of the home energy ratings program.
