Minnesota State Energy Codes

Summary:

Both Minnesota's residential and commercial building codes, the 2007 Minnesota State Building Code, are mandatory statewide. The residential code (Chapter 1322) is based on the 2006 IRC. The commercial code (Chapter 1323) is based on ASHRAE 90.1-2004. The 2007 Minnesota State Building Code became effective June 1, 2009.
