This report updates ACEEE’s seminal 2003 analysis (report E032) that demonstrated the dramatic impact on natural gas prices of expanded efficiency and renewable energy. Tightening markets result in even greater impacts. Scenarios are explored for nationwide efficiency (analyzing both renewable energy and efficiency-only) and for Midwest regional efficiency (efficiency-only).
