Agricultural Energy Efficiency Infrastructure: Leveraging the 2002 Farm Bill and Steps for the Future

With rising energy prices in recent years and the enactment of the 2002 Farm Bill energy has become an important energy issue in agricultural communities across the country. This report reviews changes in agricultural energy efficiency programs in the past five years, and assesses the impact that the energy title of the Farm Bill has had on level of activity. Based on this review the report makes recommendations of what steps should be taken to encourage programs with a broader reach.
