State Scorecard on Utility and Public Benefits Energy Efficiency Programs: An Update

This report presents data and analysis on utility and public benefits fund energy efficiency program spending, savings, and related indicators of program activity during1993-2000 for each state, and combined for the entire U.S. It ranks states according to three derived indicators: (1) energy efficiency program spending per capita; (2) energy efficiency program spending as a percentage of total revenues from retail sales; and (3) energy efficiency program savings as a percentage of total energy (kWh) sales. This State Scorecard analyzes the observed trends and updates the earlier ACEEE report, State Scorecard on Utility Energy Efficiency Programs published in 2000 as report U004.
