Buildings Director
Matt Malinowski directs the Buildings Program, overseeing the Program and implementing ACEEE's strategic vision for buildings research and policy activities to create a low-carbon, equitable, and affordable buildings sector in the United States. He joined ACEEE in 2024.
Prior to joining ACEEE, Matt worked at CLASP where he was the Director of Climate Research, responsible for modeling climate impacts of appliances and equipment and identifying new opportunities for mitigation. Before that, he supported US and international government appliance efficiency programs at CLASP, ICF, and Guidehouse (formerly Navigant Consulting).
Matt earned a masters of engineering in electrical engineering and computer science and a bachelors of science in electrical science and engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
