Michael Johnson works to build support from federal government stakeholders to bolster improvements and advances in energy efficiency standards and emissions reductions in household appliances. He joined ACEEE in 2023.
Prior to joining ACEEE, Michael worked for Buffalo, New York environmental justice organization PUSH Buffalo as the sustainability campaign coordinator. At PUSH, he led campaigns implementing the New York Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, advocating for electrification and weatherization practices across Erie county.
Michael holds both a master of arts in sustainability leadership and bachelor of arts in German and political science with a minor in environmental studies from the University at Buffalo.
