Kathrin Winkler recently retired from eight years serving as senior vice president and chief sustainability officer of EMC, a global leader in accelerating the role of information and communications technology (ITC) to drive economic and energy efficiency. The company, now a division of Dell Technology, builds information infrastructure products and services that help IT departments store, manage, protect, and analyze information to drive economic and energy efficiency. Ms. Winkler sits on the board of directors of Net Impact, a leading nonprofit that mobilizes next generation leaders to use their careers to tackle the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges, and on the external advisory board of the Graham Sustainability Institute at the University of Michigan. In 2014, she was honored with the Anita Borg Institute 2014 Women of Vision Award for Social Impact in recognition of her contributions to innovation, leadership, and sustainability in the field of information technology.
