Manager of Energy Efficiency

Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC) is searching for a Manager of Energy Efficiency to plan, develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate residential energy efficiency and services programs for AECC and its 17 member systems.

The candidate selected will assist member systems with residential energy efficiency programs to promote the efficient use of electricity. The Manager of Energy Efficiency develops, coordinates and manages the production of energy efficiency educational materials. The Manager of Energy Efficiency researches and presents energy efficiency and product information. The position assists member cooperatives with comprehensive energy audits including blower door and duct blaster diagnostic testing, and forward-looking infrared detection and interpretation. AECC’s Manager of Energy Efficiency researches and coordinates energy efficiency efforts with NRECA, distribution cooperatives and other relevant entities while closely monitoring federal, state and local tax credits, rebates or incentives for energy efficiency.

A bachelor’s degree in a related field or discipline plus at least six years related management experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will also have Building Performance Institute Building Analyst or other U.S. Department of Energy accredited comprehensive energy auditor credentials or ability to become certified within 12 months. Additionally, forward-looking infrared thermographer certification for energy auditors or building science per ANSI/ASNT CP-105 and CP-189 of the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing or ability to obtain within 12 months is desired. And, previous electric cooperative experience is strongly preferred.
