ACEEE Announces New Board Members and the Formation of a Research Advisory Board

Washington, D.C.—ACEEE is pleased to announce that Janice Berman of Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Denise Fairchild of Emerald Cities Collaborative, and Clay Nesler of Johnson Controls have joined ACEEE’s Board of Directors.

Ms. Berman is senior director of energy efficiency strategy for Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E). She is responsible for providing strategic leadership of PG&E’s Energy Efficiency portfolio.

ACEEE recently completed its 3rd National Review of Exemplary Energy Efficiency Programs. We are pleased to recognize the programs listed below. ACEEE and an expert review panel selected these programs as examples of leading designs and practices for energy efficiency programs offered by utilities and related organizations serving utility customers. A compendium of profiles of all these programs will be published later this spring. The profiles will feature program descriptions, performance, and key lessons learned. ACEEE completed earlier national reviews in 2003 and 2008.

Greenercars.org Revises Ratings for Model Year 2011 and 2012 Hyundai and Kia Models

Washington, D.C.—The U.S. EPA recently found that auto manufacturers Hyundai and Kia had overstated the fuel economy of several of their vehicles in model years 2011, 2012, and 2013. EPA has released updated fuel economy label values for these vehicles. As a result, ACEEE has adjusted Green Book ratings for model years 2011 and 2012.
