What You’ll Be Doing
Cadmus seeks a expert in evaluation of emerging technologies to join our Program Evaluation & Performance team in the Energy Services Division. The ideal candidate must be talented, motivated, intellectually curious, and flexible and have experience evolving energy-efficiency programs and measures to meet the needs of next generation decarbonization programs. In this role, you will lead our evaluations of emerging technology programs that are designed to change markets permanently by making clean energy solutions the norm.
This role is expected to manage and conduct primary and secondary research on behalf of Cadmus’ energy clients (primarily utilities and administrators of energy efficiency programs). This role will be responsible for managing projects, market research and analysis, and the creation of written reports of findings. This role will provide guidance to junior staff, implement strict quality control and quality assurance, and compile and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should have professional experience in managing California energy related programs and evaluating emerging technologies. A background in program evaluation and/or social science research methods would also benefit a successful candidate. They should also be highly motivated to perform and learn, be able to work collaboratively and independently, manage assigned tasks and projects start to finish with minimal input from supervisors, and have exceptional written, verbal, and analytical skills. We are looking for candidates with strong market research skills who have demonstrated experience with emerging technologies and market effects and program attribution studies.

Responsibilities
- High-quality management, performance, and oversight of Cadmus projects and California based IOU programs.
- Active participation in the ideation and execution of business development activities, including cultivating existing client relationships to expand existing work and supporting Cadmus in creating proposals.
- Nurturing and building existing client relationships as a primary point of contact. Providing clear and consistent communications on projects and raising any concerns or issues.
- Essential project management activities including budget tracking, invoicing, project planning, staff balancing, and resource management.
- Developing detailed reports and presentations of results, findings, methodologies, and data sources, in addition to providing clear, actionable recommendations to clients.
- Project delivery including ensuring all deliverables in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel formats meet Cadmus standards and exceed client expectations.
- Active communication with and coordination of project teams, providing constructive feedback and managing expectations.
- Ongoing communication with Cadmus Energy Services leadership and support teams, including accounting, accounts payable, contracts, and operations regarding the health and status of all projects and tasks.
- Communicate professionally (oral and written) with colleagues and clients, in varying time zones.
Qualifications
- Industry experience in market research, energy efficiency, utilities, emerging technologies, market transformation program design and/or market effects evaluation.
- Ten to twelve years of experience managing projects and programs of successfully larger scope and significance.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, engineering, the social sciences, environmental studies, economics, or a related field.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Some domestic travel may be required (typically no more than 10%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior consulting experience working independently to make decisions.
- Prior experience leading California IOU projects and programs.
- Staff management and development experience.
- Business development (including proposal management and response) experience.
- Demonstrated analytical skills using statistical and analytical software (e.g., Python, SAS, R, Excel).

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $114,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
