Washington, D.C.—The U.S. EPA recently found that auto manufacturers Hyundai and Kia had overstated the fuel economy of several of their vehicles in model years 2011, 2012, and 2013. EPA has released updated fuel economy label values for these vehicles. As a result, ACEEE has adjusted Green Book ratings for model years 2011 and 2012. New Green Scores can be found here. Green Scores went down by up to 3 points. Upcoming ratings for model year 2013 vehicles to be released on will also reflect the corrected fuel economy values.
