This report presents the final results of a survey of building services providers and building owners and operators in New York State conducted in January and February 2003. It was conducted as part of the Building Commissioning Market Transformation project sponsored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. The survey was designed to gauge respondents’ understanding of building commissioning, their experience implementing commissioning, and their perceptions of the key barriers to greater use of commissioning and the best methods for increasing demand for commissioning in the New York market. This report offers a comparison of findings to a similar survey conducted at the outset of the market transformation program in 2000 (see ACEEE report A014).
