This report presents the findings of a targeted study of the potential effects of an aggressive but achievable energy efficiency intervention in eight Midwest states: IA, IL, IN, MI, MN, MO, OH, and WI. Results indicate that a sustained multi-year effort producing annual savings of about 1% per year in electricity and natural gas consumption could produce billions of dollars in direct savings and up to a 13% reduction in natural gas market prices. Results are presented by state and for the region as a whole.
