Last year, North Carolina took important steps to bolster energy affordability, accelerate the clean energy economy, and fight climate change by issuing its state Department of Environmental Quality’s Clean Energy Plan and the Duke Nicholas Institute’s Energy Efficiency Roadmap. ACEEE published new research analyzing how some of the energy efficiency policies and programs recommended by in-state stakeholders can help rebuild North Carolina’s economy through energy, greenhouse gas, and bill savings. In this webinar, ACEEE’s researchers shared their results, and three leaders in energy efficiency in North Carolina – Sushma Masemore of the State Energy Office, Bridget Herring of the City of Asheville, and Jen Weiss of the Nicholas Institute at Duke University discussed their efforts to advance energy efficiency in the state.
