This fact sheet summarizes and illustrates the findings of a more detailed ACEEE study that looks at 13 packages of energy efficiency measures that together can reduce US 2040 energy use by 34% and US carbon emissions by 35%, putting us on a path to 50% savings by 2050. The packages cover all major sectors – buildings, industry, transportation and utilities.
