On March 10, 2011, Steven Nadel, Executive Director of the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) testified before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee’s hearing on appliance standards legislation. He highlighted the benefits to consumers and businesses of the standards that have been implemented thus far. He also expressed support for the Implementation of Consensus Appliance Standards Agreement Act (INCAAA), which contains a variety of consensus proposals negotiated between product manufacturers, ACEEE, and other efficiency supporters, including consumer and environmental groups.
