Supply Curves for Conserved Energy for Automobiles

The costs and energy saving potential for automobile fuel economy technologies are analyzed to develop supply curves of conserved energy. This report concludes that it is cost effective to increase new car fuel economy to 44 MPG by the year 2000. Previously entitled "Light Vehicle Fuel Economy Technologies: Costs and potential Energy Savings," it was prepared for Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory.
